Cheerleading at Tumblekids

What is All Star Cheer?

All Star Cheer is a high energy, team-based, performance sport that is athletic, artistic and acrobatic. It involves athletes competing with a 2 and a 1/2 minute routine composed of tumbling, stunting, pyramids, dance and cheer segments.

While some skills are individually developed, such as tumbling or dancing, partner stunts, pyramids and tosses require a great deal of teamwork and routines require synchronization and team uniformity.

All Star Cheer differs from traditional school cheer teams in that its primary purpose is competition, while school cheer involves crowd leading and other school roles, as well as the option for competition. All Star cheer teams are most often organized and based out of a club and have teams that are open to all area cheer athletes.”- USASF

Why cheer at TumbleKids?

This program has plans to go above and beyond and make a name for ourselves in the world of competitive cheerleading. One of the biggest things in cheerleading is trust and building a bond with your teammates. With goals and dreams of not only winning, this program will involve a lot of learning, team bonding, goal setting, building friendships, and memories to last a lifetime.

What will I learn in the TumbleKids Cheer program?

Building from the ground up! Starting with strengthening exercises, fundamentals, basic dance moves and formations for a competition routine to stunting which will be in depth. As well as of course tumbling…all combined to build that 2:30 routine where you’ll get to go out on that blue mat and give it your all!

What is my commitment to the program?

This program will require about 6 hours of practice time per week. Practice is extremely important as the team relies on one another. For example,  if one girl is missing from a stunt group that group can not practice their skill to the best of their abilities. Once we get into competitions more commitments will be required as competitions can sometimes be 2 day weekend competitions or just one day.
